Whoa! Did you feel that? All our aquariums have interactive rockpools. Which means you can reach into the water, and get a real feel for our sea anemones, starfish and hermit crabs!
Rockpools are created when the tide goes out and leaves water behind. The creatures that live in them need to be tough to stand up to crashing waves and changing temperatures.
Exploring rock pools at the beach?
- Always go exploring with a grown-up
- Always explore rockpools when the tide is going out
- Wear non-slip shoes
- Try not to disturb any creatures, and put any rocks back carefully
- Don’t take any creatures home with you!
